Overview
Overlap (meetoverlap.com) is a free, browser-based timezone meeting planner. The tool runs entirely in your browser — your timezone selections and chosen meeting times are never sent to our servers. We do not require you to create an account, log in, or provide any personal information to use this service.
This Privacy Policy explains what limited information may be collected when you visit meetoverlap.com, how it is used, and what controls you have.
Data We Collect
Information you provide
Overlap does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifier. The only "input" the tool uses is the timezone selections you make in your browser — and these are stored only in the URL of your current browser session, never on our servers.
Automatically collected information
When you visit meetoverlap.com, our web hosting provider (Vercel) may automatically collect standard server log data, including:
- Your IP address (anonymized)
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Pages visited and time of visit
- Referring URL (the page that linked you here)
This data is used solely for server security, uptime monitoring, and aggregate traffic analysis. It is not linked to any personally identifiable information.
Shareable links
When you click "Copy meeting link," Overlap generates a URL containing only
timezone identifiers and a selected UTC hour — for example:
meetoverlap.com/?tz=Asia%2FKarachi,Europe%2FLondon&t=10.
No personal data is encoded in these links. If you share this URL with someone
else, they will see the same timezone selections you made — nothing more.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
Overlap uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. This allows us to keep the tool completely free for all users. Google AdSense is a service provided by Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
How Google AdSense works
Google AdSense uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to meetoverlap.com and/or other sites on the internet.
